Kotoist
A VST plugin for live coding and algorithmic composition
Kotoist is a VST plugin I made to bring live coding into the DAW.
Instead of treating code as something external (a separate environment that later gets recorded), Kotoist sits in the session like any other instrument. You write a script, hit a button, and it starts generating MIDI in time - so the arrangement can stay open, reactive, and performable.
Under the hood it uses the Koto programming language and a small library of musical patterns.
